Have you ever wanted to start a non-profit organization but not known how? Or perhaps you know what to expect but don't feel that your finances allow it? We have just the thing for you!
North Seattle College is offering a class on how to "Start Your Own Non-Profit on a Shoestring."
There is one section running April 20-27.
Registration opens on Tuesday, February 21.
North Seattle College describes the class by saying, "With the vision of a better future, $1,000 seed money, and the will to make it happen, you can build a successful non-profit from the ground up. Learn three essential steps to launch your non-profit. Research and plan. Lay a solid foundation that leverages resources close at hand. Then gather supporters to celebrate something new and exciting."

We are proud to introduce Plus One's own certified project manager Barbara Oakley as the instructor for this event! Ms. Oakley is a graduate of the University of Chicago (BA English), Washington University (MA English), the University of Illinois (MS Library and Information Studies), and the University of Washington (Project Management certification. She has worked with Plus One for several years as a grant writer and involved volunteer in our 2016 Retro Bingo event and more.
